Questions, answered
Can’t find what you’re looking for?
Do I need to install anything at the pump?
No. FuelDesk runs in the browser for owners, managers and accountants. Attendants use the FuelDesk Android app on their own phones to record meter readings, collections and attendance. There is no hardware to buy.
How are shift sales calculated?
For every nozzle, FuelDesk takes the closing reading minus the opening reading minus any testing litres, and multiplies it by the fuel price that was effective when the shift started. Collections (cash, UPI, card, credit) are recorded separately, so the short or excess for the shift is calculated automatically.
Can I correct a wrong meter reading?
Yes. Owners and managers can correct a reading with a reason. The original value, the new value, the reason and the person who approved it are kept in an audit trail, and sales and stock are re-posted as adjusting entries rather than overwritten.
Does it work for CNG and multiple fuel types?
Yes. Petrol, diesel and CNG are set up by default, and you can manage tanks, dispensers and nozzles for each fuel with their own prices and units.
Is my business data separate from other pumps?
Yes. Every record is tied to your business account and isolated on the server. Staff only see what their role allows, and every sensitive change is recorded in an audit log that owners can review.
What happens if an attendant’s phone is offline?
The mobile app is designed for patchy networks: entries are queued on the phone and synced when the connection returns, and duplicate submissions are rejected on the server.
